External Web Resources

Here are some external web resources that we find informative on European rail history and model trains.

Miniatur Wunderland

For many, Miniatur Wunderland will need no introduction. It is the world’s largest model railroad, located in Hamburg, Germany. While the scale and scope of Miniatur Wunderland is beyond most modelers, they also publicize many of their innovations in the field of model railroading, helping to lower the barrier of entry to all modelers. https://www.youtube.com/@MiniaturWunderlandOfficial

Märklin Of Sweden

Martin of Marklinofsweden is another popular and well-regarded Märklin content creator. Most of his videos are tips and tricks for making a Märklin model layout; he features integration of a plethora of emerging technologies, especially 3D-printing. His emphasis is “model scenery creation… to push the limits for increased realism and still keeping the methods and materials simple and low cost.”
